Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
As a Project Engineer specializing in finishing activities, you will be responsible for overseeing various tasks, including masonry work, plastering, screeding, waterproofing, ceiling installations, painting, tiling, marble works, PU flooring, and landscaping. Your key responsibilities include:
- Conducting inspections and tests as per the relevant plans, ensuring compliance with specifications and subcontractor works.
- Supervising and coordinating the work areas of the general personnel/engineers and allocating tasks efficiently.
- Ensuring that work execution follows approved method statements.
- Monitoring material usage to minimize wastage and supervising the materials storage area.
- Coordinating and liaising with contractors and subcontractors for their daily construction activities.
- Creating weekly and daily schedules for all activities and monitoring their progress.
- Checking the quality of materials received on-site and preparing quality reports, noting any defects.
- Reviewing specifications and relevant standards to ensure compliance with the specified requirements.
Desired Candidate Profile:
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in building construction.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Knowledge of finishing engineering in the construction site context.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, project management, and design software preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in both Khmer and English (written and verbal).
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
